Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha temple at night time
This Bangkok landmark is a first place to see for most tourists to the city. The compound houses the Grand Royal Palace ( built in 1782 comprising several buildings in highly decorated design ), the Royal Chapal or "Wat Phra Kaeo" enshrining the sacred Emerald Buddha image and Royal Thai Decorations and Coin Pavilion. The compound is opened daily from 0830Hrs to 1530Hrs. Proper dressing is required to enter the complex.
