Ban Song Thai home stay headquarter is located at the home of the head of the village "Plai Phongpang" in Samut Songkram province. Samut Songkram ( about 80 km to the west of Bangkok ) can be reached by bus from the Bangkok's southern bus terminal. From Samut Songkram bus station take a local bus heading to "Khokket Temple" or Wat Khokket from where tourists can walk or take a motorcycle taxi to get to the home of the head of the village ( called "Kamnan" in Thai ). The head man's name is Khun Thawat Boonpat who can be reached at his mobile number 01- 403 7907. Ban Song Thai provides one night stay in a Thai style teakwood house ( beds and mosquito nets are provided , although there are very few mosquitos there ), Thai style dinner, alm for the monks and a breakfast. Toiletry and other personal things are to be carried along by the tourists. Weekends are not recommended since lot of people come on Saturday and Sunday and the holidays.

Ban Song Thai community consists of more than 180 old Thai style teakwood houses conntected to each other by a network of cannals. The oldest one was built more than 200 years ago. Every house has its own paddle boat. The natural surounding in the community is lush garden with coconut palm trees, mango trees, flowering bushes, clean canals, musical sound of birds, and most of all the fireflies along sections of the cannals. Coconut sugar is one of the villages' welknown products.

Other attractions around are: "Thaka" floating market which can be visited by long tail boat . The floating market is in its full on the second, seventh and 12th days of the lunar month.
